Tigerland

0039hrs: Just finished watching Tigerland and I quite enjoyed it. It's one of those Vietnam War themed movies that I enjoy watching. The Vietnam War was a huge political fiasco that outlasted 3 Presidents. I've often wondered how those men went to bed at night knowing they've ordered thousands of young men to a strange foreign land to fight a proxy war. From 1959 when the war started right till 1975 when it ended, American casualties numbered 200,000. 58,209 of those died. For what? To spread democracy and freedom? Did I mention the Americans got their ass whooped really badly? What with all their high tech toys, they were still driven off the land by peasants with Kalashnikovs. It was a senseless war in my opinion. You go to war to achieve a purpose. Besides giving birth to a whole host of new weapons, the war didn't serve much else. I mean other than getting young men blown up that is.

Tigerland follows a bunch of young men going through military training. I hated BMT. It is the time where the system tries to take away your individuality and forcefully turn several dozen young men into a cohesive fighting force(at least that's what the propaganda claims). But it's the same everywhere in every army in the world. Basic Military Training is meant for the individual to forget that he's an individual once he puts on that uniform. I struggled in BMT because I wasn't used to being shouted at and not being able to react to the shouting was the worse. I hated having to ask for permission to even take a fucking piss. You get scolded for pissing too often but they still make you drink 2 litres of water every 2 hours anyway. I mean where the fuck do you expect all that water to go? Do you fucking think it'll sprout out off the top of my head like a fucking geyser? Fuck!

I fucking hated my time in the army. If you noticed, I didn't blog a word about finally leaving the army for good when I left in June 2006. I was so glad it was over that all I wanted to do was to erase those two years IMMEDIATELY. But now that most of the bitter after taste is gone, I can talk about it. The military is a fucking joke. They talk about discipline but you see double standards everywhere. I got caught a couple of times for having a camera phone or bringing a iPod into camp. But you see officers and regulars brandishing those devices about everywhere in camp but they get away scot free while I get 13 weekends burnt. FUCK! Now you see why I think the army's fucked up? I'm so fucking glad I've left it all behind....F-O-R-E-V-E-R. No more! Zilch! Natta! Never again! But what about fighting for this country and blah blah blah.....I don't see the point of fighting for this 699 sq km of tropical sand bar. What with a government that I'm so afraid to criticise lest commandos start rappelling through my bedroom window.

My friend's currently going through some tough times in the army. He's being threatened with a charge/court martial. Fuck! If I had a penny for everytime I've been threatened with that while in uniform. It's fucked up. Every little thing you do wrong they threaten you with it. And some poor unfortunate souls do get tossed into DB. It sucks! I hope things work out for my pal and that he make it to his ORD date unscathed. It's just another quarter year away and he'll be in NTU chatting up hostel hotties.

I know this entry hasn't made much sense but the more tired I got, the less cohesive it became. So I think it's a good idea for me to just go sleep now.

Out of green for good and thankful for it @ 0123hrs

I don't wanna make it

0217hrs: I haven't registered for the exams yet and today's the last day to do it. I feel demoralized. I feel like I've already lost the battle before it's begun. I feel as if it's too late and that things just get bleaker the more I think about it. I don't know why I'm thinking like this. How much do I want to get out of this cycle that's my life? How much do I want to do something I like? Will I make it this year?

I don't know.....but I hope I'll know by the time I wake.

I need to decide @ 0223hrs

There'll Never Be Another You

2155hrs: No I'm not heartbroken over someone like the title suggests. It's just the title of a song I recently fell in love with. It's funny because I chanced upon it. I wasn't even looking for this song but another with the same title. The singer is familiar though. I grew up listening to another song by Michael Damian titled 'Was It Nothing At All'. That was a great song and I really liked it a lot growing up. Now that I've heard another song from him that I really like, I just might get his album. That is, if I can still find it. I think this is a song perfect for the brokenhearted. I'll be putting it on repeat if I ever get heartbroken again. But that's not likely since I've taken an oath of celibacy. Nah....kidding.

Oh I've been emailing alot with Porsche Boxster who was mentioned in the entry 'Mondays suck...Not'. But I'll stop calling her Porsche Boxster. She's known as Dew from now on. Before I continue, Dew and I are just good collegues/friends/work buddies and nothing more alright? She's just been really fun to talk to over our email exchanges. We started emailing a lot last week cause she wasn't given any work yet. So we've gotten to know each other well enough the past week. Dew called me out for lunch last Friday and it was nice. She still won't tell me her age especially after I told her she looks early-twenties. She threw me a bone that day and asked 'Would you believe it if I told you I already have a kid?'. In which she quickly retracted 'But that's not possible right? Cause I'm still so young...*laughs*'. Well she told me about her friendster profile that day over lunch and I checked it out over the weekend. My goodness, I know I'm not very good at guessing a person's age, but I didn't expect to be this wrong. She's like 7 years my senior and she's married(I knew about this when I met her) with a baby boy. But to me she doesn't look a day over 25. I haven't told her about it yet though. So as far as she knows, I'm still clueless about her age and kid. I'll wait for her to tell me. She does seem pretty happy to be mistaken for a 25 year old though. I guess it must be really flattering for her to have a young stud like me come along and tell her she looks early-twenties. hahaha...

I had a terrible flu today and I've been throwing out combo sneezes all day. The first one was probably the longest. I shot out 6 in a row in the cab on my way to work. Yeah, I overslept this morning cause I forgot to set the alarms on my mobiles. By the time I woke, it was 0740hrs. I've already missed the charter bus. Back to the flu, so I was sneezing and spewing mucus all over my cubicle the whole day. It's little wonder why I was pretty stoned today even though I had just enough shut eye. Thank goodness there wasn't anything really taxing today that I had to clear up. So I should head off to bed now and get a good rest cause I really don't want to take a sick day barely 3 weeks into my new job. I did promise myself not to take sick days till at least 1 month after. If I feel as bad tomorrow as I did today, I might have no choice cause today really wasn't fun at all. Actually, I was suppose to go sleep at 9pm. Yeah I know 9 hours of rest is too much but I think my body really needs it. Since I've missed that bedtime, I'll have to settle for 8 hours(if I fall asleep instantly that is).

I'm posting up the lyrics for the song I mentioned in case I need it again. I've had a hard time looking for it.

(There'll Never Be) Another You by Michael Damian

I have a life, I live a lie

It's more like living day to day
Just to get by
And it's OK cause I get through
But I know there'll never be another you

I got my friends
They're always there
And someone special that I know who really cares
But late some nights
A voice cries through
Reminding me there'll never be another you

I can recall all those winters and falls
Nights of love that I thought would be always with us
Writing our plans on the beach in the sand
But they faded through time in the wind and with you, ohh...

I think of you from time to time...
Sometimes I wonder if I ever cross your mind
But looking back is hard to do
Cause it reminds me there won't be another you, ohh...

If I could hold you again for one night
it would make my whole world come alive again, ohh...

I will survive and carry on
Once in awhile I hear an old familiar song
It takes me back and makes me blue
Reminding me there'll never be another you
Yes, I know there'll never be another you

I've got a bad case of the sniffles @ 2220hrs

My Saturday

2308hrs: I know that title's been used before but I've been a little low on creativity lately. My Saturday wasn't too bad. I woke up after a good night's rest. Did my stuff till late afternoon. Seeing that the weather was pretty good, I decided to go swimming. By 1630hrs I found myself lounging around my cousin's condo swimming pool basking under the sun. I know it's not a lot but I managed six laps in the pool without my feet ever touching the ground. That's quite a feat for someone who's still learning to swim. Now all I need to do is to achieve the same thing in a 2 metre deep Olympic sized pool. I honestly can't tell you how nice it was to be relaxing by the pool side just looking at the clear blue skies above. After my laps, I pulled up a deck chair, lathered myself with tanning lotion, grabbed my book and just read till the sun went down. I got a noticeable tan though not very much. Considering I wasn't in the sun very long. The genius in me decided I didn't need the lotion on my face which explains why I'm minutely sunburned round the forehead.

I can't tell you how grateful I am to have a cousin generous enough to offer her condo facillities to me. I usually avoid going swimming on weekends because the numerous boisterous kids and weekend crowds just put me off. You can't swim more than a metre without being torpedoed by some wretched kid. Although some kid at the condo pool almost got me in the nads when I was resting by the side of the pool. But other than that, everything was just perfect. Unfortunately I discovered my Speedo goggles are clouded with God knows what. I can't get rid of it and I just bought those goggles not too long ago. Now the $15 goggles are practically useless. Damn! I'll need new goggles cause I plan to repeat my swimming next week.

Yes, my weekend served it's purpose. I did forget about work(not that work's been too bad).

Looking forward to next weekend @ 2321hrs

Work's murder...+Business English?

2204hrs: Work's been a little tough the last few days. I don't know if I'm slow or just tired. I haven't been sleeping well the past few days. I'm getting that jolted sleep thing again. I wake at 5am in the morning for no good reason. Not even to pee! My body seems to just wake up for the fun of it! By the time I manage to drift off to slumber, my alarm clocks are screaming at me to wake up.

I've been trying hard to clear the backlogged work since I started at this job. I really have been trying hard to clear the work but all I managed today was to clear one fucking email. ONE! JUST ONE! But it was an email with a long list of accounts invoices and I had to find out the status of each and everyone. Which is the bread and butter of my job. I exist only to find out when people are getting paid. To be fair, I only managed to clear one email cause I had to do other stuff. I spent the morning sending out invoices and such. I've gotta make sure the invoices aren't duplicates which means constant checking through the damned files. The afternoon was spent trying to find out the statuses of all those invoices. I almost went blind staring at the endless statement of accounts. In the end when I was done, I missed something. I spent one fucking hour trying to figure out why the numbers weren't matching. Only to have my colleague(who's slightly more senior than me) spot my mistake. Fuck! I've got 5 more emails to clear tomorrow not including the new ones that'll come in tomorrow. I need to rest better to perform better or else I'll miss out stuff like I did today. It's fucking simple straight forward stuff but I missed it cause I didn't scroll up the fucking spreadsheet. FUCK!

What's with people in the office? I had never heard the phrase 'Going forward' until I stepped into this office. It's suppose to replace 'From now on or In future'. What kind of English is 'Going forward'? It just sounded totally weird when I first heard it. What's worse, the people in the office use it in conversations as well. It's just bad English. The other day, my colleague was typing out an email for me and I highlighted a grammar mistake to her. But she insisted it was right even though I knew it was wrong. But rather than spend 5 mins arguing about the grammar, I shut up. But I didn't like the email going out with my name on it bearing a grammar mistake. It was so uncomfortable. I mean come on, English is the only language I'm proficient at. If the phrase doesn't sound right to me, it probably isn't. I'm not saying I'm perfect. I'm just saying that when I spot a mistake, IT IS A MISTAKE. Ok ok...I'm being anal about it. But I just wanted to bitch about that.

I'm tired but I'm not sleeping well. It sucks and I wish for some Valium right now even though I don't like to use drugs to sleep. Arrrggghhhh......

Needs to get some proper uninterrupted sleep @ 2228hrs

Mondays suck...NOT!

2244hrs: Well...kinda. I don't know. I can't seem to make up my mind about it. I didn't manage to re-calibrate my bio-clock yesterday and stayed up for a few hours last night until fatigue did a 'force shutdown'. So I was understandably stoned today but thankfully, I only had to work 3 hours today. I attended the compulsory orientation for the company and it carried on till 1430hrs in the afternoon.

So I walked into the training room this morning half asleep until someone caught my eye. It's not often I see a full on red hot Ferrari that manages to get my V8 pitching highs and lows this early in the morning. But I was like 'DAMNNnnnnn.....that chick is fine fine SUPER FINE!'. That Ferrari got my full attention for awhile until fatigue reclaimed it's stake on my consciousness a little later. Which is why I missed her name. I only knew her department but it was of little consequence to me since I've hung up my skirt chasing ways. I just enjoyed the eye-candy till I had to leave. But it was interesting watching the guys react to the Ferrari. I caught one guy reading her profile on the PwC staff database on his laptop and I sniggered to myself. It really was funny! The guy couldn't even wait till he got back in the office to check out her profile. During the office tour, another guy held the door open long enough only for the Ferrari to breeze through and left the door to slam on the poor girl trailing behind the Ferrari. I managed to reach out fast enough to prevent the door slamming on the poor girl(*APPLAUSE* for Ben's gallantry. Yay!). Honestly, the Ferrari is ranked pretty high up next to the other Ferraris I've seen on this little island. It's little surprise then that she's not local. I mean the Ferrari is tall, nice long curly hair, drop dead curves and a cute face that needs little make-up(actually none at all). She's got all the 'WOW' factors checked on my list.

Alright enough talk about the Ferrari. This morning when the orientation got under way, we had to introduce ourselves. You know things like name, department, previous place of employment and they said to include an interesting fact. Perhaps I could come up with a few excuses as to why the best I managed was a nervous lightning quick blabber of 'Hi,I'mBenjaminfromFinanceDeptthisismyfirstjobsincearmyandaninterestingfactaboutmeisthatIenjoyreading.'
If you haven't noticed, I'm not too big on public speaking. Yes, I got self-conscious this morning cause I wasn't prepared to be a focus of everyone's attention(even if it was only for 2mins). A valid excuse would be that I was pretty stoned but that only covers incoherence. I've got nothing for the nervousness. You know, a better introduction would've gone like 'Hi, I'm Benjamin from Finance Department. This is my first job after the army. An interesting fact about me....Well I just got my first concussion little more than a month ago. So please excuse me if I don't remember your names'*guffaws from the audience*. There! It would've sounded so much better than my nervous chatter. *sigh* Isn't hindsight a real bitch?

Besides the Ferrari, there were two more girls that weren't too bad. I'll call them Golf GTI and Porsche Boxster. I spoke to the Boxster after lunch and she was quite friendly. Was surprised to find out that she was from Indonesia cause she sounded local. According to her, she has been localised since being in Singapore for the past 8 years. I don't have much to say bout the Golf cause she sat too faraway for small talk. But the Golf was cute in a spunky kinda way which explains why she's a Golf.

If I had to rate all 3(only if I REALLY had to), it'll be something like this. The Ferrari would get 9.9, the Golf GTI, 7.6 and the Porsche Boxster, 6.3. Yes, yes some of you out there would find all thsi rating offensive and blah blah blah but bear in mind I'm only putting it in terms familiar to me?

Like I said, all that is little consequence to me. I'm not skirt chasing anymore. But that doesn't mean I've given up my rating rights. Ha!

I've gotta find better things to blog about @ 2323hrs

What if I still don't get it?

2310hrs: I just had my first round of Maths tuition with the guy Janan recommended. Maybe it's gonna take time to adjust to a different teaching style but I really do miss my Godbro right now. He always managed to help me understand the concepts quite clearly and he never needed to repeat himself more than twice to me before I get it. I noticed that this new tutor was teaching me 'operating procedures' rather than helping me understand the concept. I'm afraid. I'm afraid that this guy I'm paying $50 per lesson for isn't gonna help me with my E Maths. I've just told Godbro about it and he can't do anything about it cause he really can't afford the time. Especially with his first born due this month. Dammit! I'm starting to regret. I regret not treasuring Godbro when I still had him(not in a man love sorta way ok?). Godbro says it's too bad that he's married with a kid now. It's too late. It's true it really is. My options are limited now. I could stay with his guy for a few more lessons and see how things pan out or I could start looking for someone else. I really should've treasure Godbro when I had him. It's tough to get your ex-school teacher to tutor you in Maths and what more, for free! I told Godbro I much rather pay him the $200/month but he says money just isn't the issue. He's caught up with work and other stuff. He just can't afford the time. I think I might be fucked where Maths is concerned.

You know, I thought this tutor and I might have something to talk about since he's doing aeronautical engineering. When I asked if he liked planes, he said he didn't have any particular interest in them. He's just doing the course for the sake of the course. I find it sad really. It's sad that a person as gifted in the sciences and maths is in a course he's not interested in. While someone like me who hasn't had the proper development in those two subjects critical for an aeronautical course has an insatiable passion for all things flying. I guess the world is just crazy like that.

I'm worried @ 2332hrs

What do you do on a Saturday?

0137hrs: I woke up pretty late today(or was it yesterday?). Saturdays are the only days I get to sleep in. Cause I have to spend Sundays re-calibrating my bio-clock. After lunch I spent the late afternoon agonising over if I should go swimming, cycling or just stay home. Well I agonised over it for so long that by the time I decided, there wasn't much daylight left to do anything. However, I was suppose to spend Saturday packing the house. Especially my room. But I spent it messing about with my computer.

My friends recently told me something I should've known. Both of them advised me to stop being so desperate. I hadn't realised I was being desperate but according to them, I've been like that since my sec school days. I don't mean to be and I don't know why I'm like that. But I'd like to curb it by filling my time up with things I wanna do. I do plan to get my bike license by the end of the year. But I can't start with that till my finances are a little more stable. I hope to start by May though. My friend's offer on being my piano teacher is still good but I still can't afford a piano and I doubt I can afford the time. Realistically, I think I can only start after my exams. I should've saved enough for a piano and lessons by then. If I take my studies seriously, it should keep me from any skirt chasing for awhile.

My PC went nuts over the week. But it was(thankfully) a simple problem. My PC has been doing some intermittent ghost typing the last couple of months. It would seem like the 'Enter' key is being held down so it was impossible to do anything. On another occasion, it was the 'Backspace' key that was held down. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to type when what you've typed gets erased off almost instantly. So I went down to Sim Lim after work on Friday and got myself a $22 Logitech keyboard. Whoila! Problem solved! But the new keyboard seems slightly lower angled than the previous one so I'm still trying to get used to it. For $22, it's not too bad. The keys are 'soft touch' which means they don't make too much noise when you're banging furiously on the keys. Oh, another cool feature is that it's spill resistant and it's black. I like black.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I know I know....a keyboard's just a keyboard but I couldn't help putting up a picture

Finally! I've finally gotten myself a thumbdrive. Even though I haven't really figured out what I'm gonna do with it yet. But I'm sure it'll come in useful. My cousin got one for me at $55 from the IT fair she visited. I just find it amazing that something smaller than my thumb has the same hard disk space as my very first computer. Yes, it's a 2GB thumbdrive. It comes with a cool looking metal titanium coloured casing and the USB socket slips back into the casing itself eliminating the need for a cover. Oh, and the 'activity' light is blue! So it fits perfectly with my PC's theme. Hahaha....although the black casing with blue lights theme on my PC wasn't intentional it does look cool though. It's amazing how far I've come from my first HP PC that cost $4000 in 1996. The specs were pathetic compared to my current system.

I can't get over how small the thing really is

Old HP Pavillion (1996)

Hard Disk: 2GB

Memory: 1024MB
Hard Disk: Combined 710GB on 3 separate HDDs
Graphics Card: nVidia Geforce 7600GT 256MB

It's amazing isn't it? All this performance at half the price of my first PC. Soon I'll be boosting my RAM up to 2GBs. The same size as my first PC's HDD. I just can't get over the price and performance difference.

It's getting really late. I'm gonna finish the last few swigs of my Barcardi Lime and head off to bed. It's too late to talk about IT stuff right now.

Lunch time....still alone but at least I'm eating healthy

1239hrs: Just came back from lunch alone. Yes, I managed to beat the lunch time crowd by going for lunch at 12. I had simple economy rice and I managed to finish my lunch by 1215hrs and here I am. Blogging, chatting(on MSN) and eating my fruits. Yes, I'm trying really hard to eat healthy these days. The next step now is to start exercising.

This morning was tough. I came in at 0830hrs and hit the ground running. I didn't even have time to touch the char siew baos I bought for breakfast. Breakfast was supplemented with 3(teeny weeny) cups of milo. I had a torrent of work this morning and the torrent continues after lunch. Which(by right) ends in about 15 mins. I think I'm gonna be busy till the end of the day. The company's really making me worth every penny now. The last 3 days have been sort of a holiday cause I was still learning the ropes. Well lesson time is over and the serious stuff have begun.

Had my picture taken yesterday for the company's staff card and phone directory. All the staff here have access to this phone directory in their email that gives the name, location and number(duh!) of every staff in the company. Every profile comes attached with a mugshot of the person. I got my mugshot today and I don't know what to say. I kinda look constipated. You can judge for yourself but other than looking constipated, the picture looks alright. I guess. Well it could've been worse at least I don't look cock-eyed.

Hmm....it seems all literary prowess I possess is absent when I blog in the office. It's not fun when you have to blog while having to look over your shoulder every now and then and when the door opens. I still haven't clicked with the colleagues and I'm not hopeful. The staff here just aren't as friendly as the people at AIG. And it sucks that there aren't that many people around my age here. Guess I'll just have to fly solo again. *shrugs*

Was it really you?

2152hrs: The trip home was a little strange today. For the first time my internal facial recognition software failed me. I was on the train home today when I noticed that I was standing in front of someone who looked awfully familiar. I thought I saw Ada. But at the same time it didn't look like her. I mean this girl's hair was a little shorter and the dress sense just didnt' seem like her. But the face! In my mind I swear it was Ada. I just wasn't sure. Ada and I recently agreed that if we ever saw each other again, we'll walk up to the other to say 'hi'. So if the girl I saw really was Ada, then whatever Ada said was bullcrap.

Please don't assume that this entry is inspired by any latent feelings I might have for Ada. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I have had nothing for that girl since I was 17. I am just very confused about the person I saw today. Cause I was 90% sure that it was Ada. Maybe the girl was how Ada would look if she were out of focus. Maybe my fatigued state led my mind to automatically photoshop the image and sharpend it up to look like a person I was familiar with.

I know that out of 6 billion people living on this rock, we're bound to find someone who's facial features are identical to our own. But what are the chances of finding a 'twin' in a population of 4 million that is Singapore?

I still think that the person I saw was Ada. I'm good at recognising people and I don't believe that I can get someone who was a significant part of my teenage years wrong. If it really was Ada, I would say she looked better 3 months ago when I saw her at Mark's wedding. Cause she just looked so drab today.

Utterly....utterly...confused @ 2210hrs

Lunch time woes...

1338hrs: Lunch has been rather unhealthy lately. I haven't been able to know the rest of the colleagues well enough to go lunching with them yet. So I've been lunching alone. And it's been extremely unhealthy. Had Subway with chicken nuggets and milkshake from Macs on Monday. Tuesday I ate at Pizza Hut and today, I had a McChicken meal with nuggets and milkshake. Yes, I know. I can't keep this up for too long or else I'm gonna end up halving my lifetime even further. It's alright. I'll make it up by using my free Planet Fitness membership soon. Damn...I don't know have I'm gonna be able to click with my colleagues considering they speak mostly Mandarin. *sigh* How am I gonna survive a year here? Alright I can't really do this entry proper cause I keep getting interrupted. But I'm sure I'll be able to do more lunch time blogging when I'm more proficient in my job. Till then....

I really have to stop eating fatty stuff @ 1353hrs

Things anew...

2253hrs: Thursday was my last day at AIG. Yes, I've finally bid goodbye to the endless search for files. No more heavy lifting and papercuts. No more pretentious colleagues to contend with or dicks with too much time on their hands. But it was a bitter sweet moment when my workday ended on Thursday. Although my job wasn't anything to rave about, I have been there for 5 months afterall. My immediate colleagues have been really nice to me even though at times I didn't perform well at my job. And there was a pretty high turn over of temps at this place which meant a higher chance of cuties. That's always nice. I spent Thursday evening wrapping chocolates for my friends and colleagues. I don't like wrapping stuff. And the damned wrapping paper wouldn't unroll because I couldn't get the f***ing tape off of it. I ended up tearing the damn wrapping paper and had to cycle out to buy a couple more rolls. I'm just glad the people I gave it to appreciated my efforts and told me I did a good job of wrapping them.

I was pretty happy on Thursday cause I rented a car that evening. And I was gonna go pick C up from school later that night and send her home. Yes, I can hear all of you saying "Oh no, not C again". Yes, C again. But I've taken the hiatus from C to regroup and rethink my approach and I realised I was doing it all wrong. So I'm not exactly chasing her anymore. I'm just keeping the friendship alive. Although the sharp minded few among you would rationalise that a normal friend wouldn't drive half way across the island to send someone(who's just a friend) home. I mean it has been awhile since I last saw her and I didn't have anything else to do with the car cause all my friends were busy. If I didn't pick her up, I would've been driving around aimlessly. Ok, I admit. I did a little more than just send C home. I brought her flowers and chocolates. The flowers was cause she said she didn't get any on V'day so I thought why not just buy her a small bouquet? It didn't cost much but it made her smile quite abit. The chocolates were leftover from the ones I wrapped for my colleagues. Hmm...ok fine. They weren't leftovers. I saved some for her and I threw in a whole lot of Hershey's Kisses for her. The one I wrapped for her was two times bigger than the ones I wrapped for my colleagues. So I guess seeing her that night wasn't as platonic as I planned it to be. Oh well. The drive home was quite enjoyable though. It was quite a long drive home but I had Diana Krall's latest album for company all the way. I loved it! Alex, I can't thank you enough for that huge collection of Jazz albums you passed me! I LOVE YOU MAN!

I'm starting my new job at Price Waterhouse Coopers tomorrow. I've got mixed feelings about it though. I wonder how it'll be. I wonder if my colleagues(mostly female) will be nice or bitchy. I wonder if the bosses will be nice. Godbro's wife(who introed the job to me) told me my new colleagues have already been briefed about me. Which kinda sucks cause I was hoping to let 'em find out bout me on their own. Godbro's wife did say a few of them were asking if I were cute. Hmm....I know I'm no Brad Pitt but I don't think I'm bad looking either. But we'll find out tomorrow what the colleagues think about me. I'll just switch my charm to a 'high' setting and see what happens. Heh....ok I'm being full of shit again. I don't know, I just want to create a nice working environment for myself in the new place. Ok...I have to say this. The new place is H-U-G-E! And according to the law of numbers, it equates to a higher number of cuties. I mean come on, who doesn't like working with a couple of eye candies walking about? Ok, fine enough bullshit from me, I'm off to bed.

Wish me luck!
