TROOPS!

0549hrs: Alright...here's one for all you Star Wars fans. Remember COPS on TV? Well here's the Star Wars parody based on the Storm Troopers. It's really well done and the production was nothing short of professional. I saw this video a couple of years back but watching it last night still cracked me up good.

The video did come at a right time though. Considering I'm currently playing Star Wars: Empire At War. The game sequences are E-P-I-C!!! I mean commanding 3 Imperial Star Destroyers is just FANTASTIC! No worries I'll be posting screen shots of my Star Destroyers going about their business soon!

Some funny stuff

2305hrs: I'm hungry! Had a late lunch and no dinner. Anyhow here's some funny stuff.

I wonder what would happen if my pals in the RSAF did this while marshalling those F-16s. *heh*

Alright, usually when someone succumbs to the effects of G-LOC(Gravity induced Loss Of Conciousness) it isn't much to see. But this guy passes out 3 times and the dialogue between him and the pilot just makes it entertaining.

National Day '06 Rehearsal

0630hrs: In the spirit of the coming National Day, I think I found this video at just the right time. Yes, I'm going a little overboard with tagging Youtube's videos to my blog. Hey, come on. I just figured out how to do it. But this is really funny.

Fighter Pilots Get All The Fun

0530hrs:

No fair! I wanna fly low, kick up roostertails while listening to rock music too! Now you know. I didn't want to be a flier for any noble reason. Safeguarding the country's airspace can take a shove. What I love about flying those sinister machines is to be able to raise a lotta hell and annoy the entire population doing it! Knowing the caged power of that beast is under my total control. It'd be even better if everyone called me Thor!

Note to self: Earn USD$20,000,000 and buy a Sukhoi SU-27 before reaching 30.

Snapshots

0131hrs: Just discovered I can take video snapshots. And I've been taking shots from all over.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Here's one from Top Gun showing a pair of F-14s turning away.

This one's from Top Gear.

Was watching My Sassy Girl few days ago and took a few pics of the ever stunning Jeon Ji Hyun.

Isn't she pwreety? I've had a crush on her since her debut in My Sassy Girl. I think few people will fault me for that. She played out the character really well. Did I mention it's my favourite Korean movie? Well it is. I don't watch much romance comedies or Korean movies but I enjoyed that show a lot. So much so I'm considering buying the $25 My Sassy Girl original DVD from Korea.

Think I'm having Korean fever. Can't get enough of Korean girls the last couple of days. Started with Janan showing me a couple of pics and my other Korea obsessed friend just sent me a couple of HDTV videos of Lee Hyori & Kim Yoo Jin.

I think it's her eyes that gives the sultry look. But you have to agree that Lee Hyori is really hot.

I'm sorry that this entry seems a little dull. I just wanted to showcase the pics and I'm not really inspired to write much right now.

Ok...one more picture.

I wouldn't mind having something like this on the side of my R34 Skyline GTR. *heh*

Almost died...

1947hrs: Just came home not long ago from my cycling trip to East Coast Park. Well, the time spent there was fun. But the trip there was a little too exciting for me. I left for ECP at about 1500hrs when the sun was at it's peak. Actually, the sun's been really at it the last couple of days. I tell you, the heat was so intense that I'm convinced if you broke an egg over my bike's frame, you'll get a sunny side up in no time! It wasn't just the heat. The traffic was pretty bad too. I've forgotten how exciting it is to cycle alongside a bloody bus. When you can literally reach out and touch it within inches. It wasn't one, it wasn't two, it was three f***ing buses going alongside me. There were several times during the trip when I had a premonition about how my life was gonna end today. Images of being sandwiched between the rear bumper of the SBS Bus and the front bumper of a Trans-Island was one. My favourite was the lasting image of being pulled under one of those humongous wheels just inches from me. But to be fair, there was this nice auntie bus driver who gave way to me when I found myself caught between the bus in front and her bus behind me. She held off the traffic long enough for me to get out of there. A big thanks to the sweet auntie for not making roadkill outta me. Did I mention that there are some bastard bus drivers who play a little game called 'how close can I push the cyclist to the pavement without killing him'.

After much carbon monoxide(+ soot) ingestion, hairy moments and much dust(+ gravel) in my face, I finally arrived at ECP. I was hoping the sea breeze would alleviate the heat but to my dismay, the heat was just as oppressive as when I was on the road. Ok, to be fair it wasn't as bad. But it was still bad.

Cycled around abit before I found the 7-Eleven. Got myself a drink and proceeded to find a place to rest. Found this almost empty shelter near the beach. By then the breeze had cooled me down a bit. And I was just enjoying the sea view. I finally settled down and just relaxed. Thought about stuff, comtemplated the mysteries of the universe and finally I ran out of things to do. I should've brought my novel but there just wasn't any practical way to bring it along. I would've had to carry my backpack or something cause all I brought out was a pouch. Anyways I lazed around some more hoping the sun would turn it down a notch. That never happened. At 1700hrs, I gave up. Got my bike and cycled around.

People were all over the place. No one really kept to their lanes. Either that or people were really slow or lane hogging. I had to cycle around this girl and I made sure to cut a wide berth around her since she didn't seem very steady. But after I passed, she wobbled and crashed into some little girl in the opposite direction anyway. I hope to God that she never drives. It's for us and the children! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! I mean if you can't handle people overtaking you at 20km/h, how could you ever hope to drive when overtaking can sometimes occur at 5 times that speed?

Did I mention I wasn't riding my bike today? Anyways, I borrowed Leo's bike cause mine was in need of lubricant and I wouldn't have survived on it if I took it to ECP. Well I did have a can of expensive teflon lubricant but Leo decided to douse his bike's entire drivetrain in it and used up the whole can. Even though all you need is little squirts in the right places. But Leo wasn't kidding when he said his bike is ultra smooth after that dousing. It better be! That was a $16 worth of lube he used! After riding his bike today, I finally realised why I can never catch up with him on our cycling trips together. His bike is almost effortless to ride! You can easily hit top gear on his bike. We're talking 3:7 gearing here. But then again, his bike is 5 years younger than mine. But it looks older than mine though. There's rust everywhere. While my bike still doesn't have any rust on it other than on the odd one or two screws. But still his bike's drivetrain is silky smooth.

Yes, I had a lotta fun on his bike today. Though the fun ended when some incompetent blader collided into me. I didn't make a fuss about him traveling in the wrong direction and all but after we made nice and left, I realised the damned blader ripped out the speedometre's wire when he collided! Now I'm feeling like I've been irresponsible. The damned blader came out of nowhere in the WRONG DIRECTION! I'm gonna try to reattach the wire even though I'm prepared to get him a new one if he so chooses.

The trip back home was uneventful. After that accident with the blader, I lost my mood. I walked instead of cycling. I think I must've walked about 20 mins before I hopped on again. By then it was pretty close to 1800hrs but the sun was still hot. I started cycling somewhere along Still Road / Eunos Link. The traffic wasn't that bad going home. In fact it was a lot better than when I was going towards ECP. Got home pretty quick. The ride home had a lot less inclines than I expected. In fact there were plenty of long gentle downhills where I could coast most of the way. Got home about 1840hrs or so.

The trip was fun. I've got a nice tan with the outline of the singlet I was wearing. But overall I had a lotta fun. Though I think it'd be a good idea to put some ICE numbers in my phone before the next trip. Just in case. I suggest you do that too if you plan on cycling through Eunos Link.

Glossary

ICE: In Case of Emergency. You put 'ICE' in front of the people you'd like to be contacted in case you're ever road kill. E.g. ICE: Mummy. The paramedics will search your phone(if it's intact) for this internationally recognised code.

Note: I didn't mean for this entry to be 1,131 words long. I just wanted to document my trip today and I just let my fingers do the talking. Without much processing or edits.

Frayed Conciousness

0754hrs: I have no idea what I'm doing awake at this time. I should be comfortably snuggled under my covers now, fending off the early morning cold. But I've been having interrupted sleep all night. Thoughts of her tear their way into my unconciousness. Dreams about times we've had, places we've been. My emotions are playing me for a fool. And I feel tormented. I'm playing with the idea of going cycling now. But the broken sleep I've had doesn't inspire much confidence in taking on the morning traffic. And the idea of being roadkill isn't very appealing either.

Why am I allowing this to happen to me? Ma cherie, do you not see I'm being tormented?
