Transformers! Almost made me cry!

1904hrs: Just came back from watching Transformers in the afternoon. I've been so excited about this movie for so long. I got so caught up in the moment I even splashed out S$250 to buy Starscream and Skywarp. It was an emotional moment for me when the Autobots were introducing themselves. I almost cried when I heard the familiar voice of Optimus Prime. It's the same voice I remember from my childhood! Hearing the same bassy monotone voice preaching justice and morality. I still can't believe I've watched Transformers. Finally! I was so caught up with the bots I hardly noticed the female lead. Although she's quite hard to miss when her sweat stained tummy filled the cinema screen.

I'm gonna watch it again. I promised to watch it with Justina. Actually I was suppose to wait for him to watch it but I couldn't wait. So I'm treating him the next time we go watch it. And I really don't mind catching it a second time. I love it! I'm contemplating getting all the toys from the show but that's just extravagance talking. And the quality of those toys can't really match my Starscream's build quality.

Speaking of Starscream. He was upgraded from an F-15 to a F-22 Raptor in the movie. Which seems fitting considering the F-22 is really the new ruler of the skies. I am tempted to tell you all about the F-22 but I shan't bore you with aviation jargon. To put it simply, there is no jet out there in the world today that can match the F-22 for speed(in maintaining sustained supersonic flight), avionics(processing capability and network centric compatibility) and aerodynamics(high AOA flight without stalling). Thankfully though. The Starscream portrayed in the movie didn't have a high pitched whiny bitch of a voice like the one in the cartoon series. It always sounded as if Starscream had his underwear on a little too tight.

If you haven't caught Transformers yet, catch it! I believe the movie would appeal to my generation considering we all grew up on a steady appetite of Transformers cartoons while growing up.

European invasion

2218hrs: I seem to be logging a serious lot of European visitors this evening. I've had people from Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and ICELAND visiting my blog. I thought it was worth a mention considering visitors to my blog usually come from a local server.

Work has been murder! I mean seriously. I've been working non stop all week even though I've been feeling a little below the weather. I didn't even dare take medical leave on Monday. The work just doesn't end. My colleagues and manager tells me this happens every year cause of the Financial Year closing. Everyone is trying to rush stuff. My manager(who's a very kind lady) told me to take a breather whenever I can. Tomorrow is it! I'm on half day leave tomorrow to watch Transformers! I booked my ticket a week ago! Yes I know, that's a little early but I'm excited to see the show! I even contemplated bringing my Starscream transformer along for the show just to add to the mood. Nah...just kidding. I'm not crazy enough to bring my S$150 Starscream outta the house. The thing isn't really a toy. It's more of a model. I finally collected it today and spent my lunch time exploring it. I didn't want to transform the thing cause I've been told it takes a long time and the parts are rather fragile. So you really have to treat it with lots of TLC. I freaked when little bits of plastic fell off when I tried to move the wing. Thankfully it was just excess plastic and nothing's broken. I will post pics of it soon when I've got time to take some proper pictures over the weekend. I have a Skywarp transformer on order as well which arrives in the first week of September. I've got a special storyline thought up for these two Decepticons and I can't wait to put it together.Think it's gonna be quite hilarious.

My throat infection has transformed*transformer sound effect* itself into an annoying cough. I've been coughing so much lately. Especially at night when I'm falling asleep. It seems reminiscent of the Tekong cough I had during my BMT where every night I was coughing my lungs out. I coughed till it hurt. The meds the doctor prescribed have pretty much cured my scratchy throat but I didn't get any meds for the cough. So I'll probably have to see the doc again tomorrow evening. It's a bloody waste of time to drag my tired ass down to the clinic. I hate it.

I can't see any reprieve at work until at least the 3rd week of July. I have a bunch of Quarterly Financial Reports to prepare once the Financial Year closes. I'm finding it really tough to keep a study schedule alongside a work schedule. One good thing did happen today though. I was told about how much I'll get in my bonus next month. Oh and I got a raise. It's not much but at least it's something. The sad part of it all is that all the bonus is gonna be paid to my Aunt for the new aircon. I can't complain cause I am the major user of the aircon. They wouldn't even have installed it if it weren't for me. The bonus was suppose to give my dirtbike fund a boost but as it stands, the fund is currently zero. The schedule to get my bike is getting pushed back further every month. Sometimes I think I might not even be able to afford one if this continues. I need at least 7 months to comfortably afford the bike I want. *sigh*

I'm getting depressed thinking about the bike.....I should go.

Now that's what I call a BAD ASS!

2047hrs: However scary this is, that's one seriously bad ass.....

This is almost unbelievable!

This may be a first...
A couple from Montana were out riding on the range, he with his rifle and she (fortunately) with her camera. Their dogs always followed them, but on this occasion a Mountain Lion decided that he wanted to stalk the dogs (you'll see the dogs in the background watching). Very, very bad decision...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The hunter got off the mule with his rifle and decided to shoot in the air to scare away the lion, but before he could get off a shot the lion charged in and decided he wanted a piece of those dogs. With that, the mule took off and decided he wanted a piece of that lion. That's when all hell broke loose... for the lion. As the lion approached the dogs the mule snatched him up by the tail and started whirling him around. Banging its head on the ground on every pass. Then he dropped it, stomped on it and held it to the ground by the throat. The mule then got down on his knees and bit the thing all over a couple of dozen times to make sure it was dead, then whipped it into the air again, walked back over to the couple (that were stunned in silence) and stood there ready to continue his ride... as if nothing had just happened.

Fortunately even though the hunter didn't get off a shot, his wife got off these 4 photos...

Camwhoring lunch

2138hrs: My best pal joined me for lunch today in the city. It was great seeing him again after 2 months. Had a great lunch at Coffee Connection where we sat on giant bean bags and low tables. Which is a pain for me considering I've got legs like a giraffe. I was knocking my knees into the table's edge every now and then. But the club sandwich I had was excellent though a little messy. Our lunch(which was rather expensive) was filled with much catching up and camwhoring. Yes, both Justina and I took turns camwhoring with my new phone. And the photos didn't turn out too bad. It's one of those rare times where I actually look good in a photo. It was a great initiation for my digicam/phone too. The coffee place just seemed like a really nice background. Justina was wearing his seriously cool Ducati series Oakleys today. I'm so jealous. It was a birthday present from his Dad. All he needs now is a Ducati Monster S4 to match the shades. So I told him to ask his Dad for a Duke on his next birthday. I'll seriously pay money just to see his Dad's reaction....hahaha.

Seriously though, it was nice catching up with my buddy today. Glad you came down today Juz. See ya for our Transformers date soon!

And here's our camwhoring pics....... =oP

Infected larynx

2252hrs: Nah...I'm just kidding. It's not that bad. But I've spent the entire weekend in bed resting. Woke up at 10am this morning to see the doc. When I woke I realised my throat was hurting quite badly. Saw the doc and was told I'm having a throat infection. Thus the incredible pain everytime I try to swallow my spit. He gave a couple of antibiotics and something for the throat and I've been taking it religiously all day. Yes, I know I should've seen the doc on Friday so I'll have the whole weekend to recover. But I was just too sick and tired to drag my ass down to the clinic on Friday. The doc gave me an MC for tomorrow though. But I don't think I'm gonna use it. There's just too much to be done and I've already taken 2 hours off work last week to see the dentist. So I don't feel too good bout disappearing on a Monday. What's more I'm on half day leave on Friday to go catch Transformers. I've already got the tickets booked! I can't wait! I have a feeling I'm gonna watch the movie at least twice. The only movie I remember watching more than once was X-men 2 and Black Hawk Down. Cause those movies were really that good. Sorry I digressed. So I'm still gonna go to work tomorrow cause other than having a bad throat, I'm fine. I just won't be talking very much tomorrow at work if my throat is still hurting like this. Which is a problem cause 50% of my work is talking on the phone. I guess I'll just have to talk softer huh? We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Alright I'm trying to waste some time while waiting for the lozenges in my mouth to dissolve before I can go to bed. Hmm...then again, I feel a late night bombing mission coming on right now. Alright, I'm heading off for my emergency bombing mission.

OMG it's an M5!

2225hrs: Had to miss hiking with the guys today cause of my sudden onset of flu. But it wasn't bad enough to keep me from having lunch with them though. Lunch was alright but as the afternoon wore on, the feverish feeling caused by the flu came back. Especially on my way home. I was actually going home by bus but half way I just couldn't take it anymore so I got off and hopped in a cab for the rest of the way.

On the way home I spotted one those rare unicorns in Singapore. The cab was stopped at the lights next to this BMW 5 series. But this 5 series looked awfully special. I mean the wheels were huge and the brakes peeking out from behind them were massive cross drilled vented rotors. It took me a little over a minute to push though the 'stonedness' to realise I was sitting next to a S$400,000++ BMW M5. I mean it could've been one of those normal 5 series with an extensive M5 bodykit but this one just didn't look fake. I swear I was staring at the real thing. It had an aura about it that was unmistakably M5. I mean from the quad tailpipes to the massive wheels and the little M5 badge on the bonnet screamed M5. I was truly staring at the E60 V10 500bhp Bavarian monster I so loved. Growing up I was absolutely infatuated with the previous E39 400bhp M5 but it's hard not to like the latest incarnation. What with a 7 speed gear box, 500bhp and a HUD(that's fighter jet technology right there) that projects your speed and revs on the windshield, what's not to like?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You can clearly spot the chromed quad tailpipes in this pic. Too bad I couldn't get the M5 badge though.

It took me another half a min before I realised I've got a halfway decent digicam in my new phone and I could actually take a snapshot of it to post on my blog. The pic doesn't show the quad tailpipes as well as I'd like but I whipped out the phone too late and by then the traffic had already begun moving. Still being in the presence of this beast was really something else. At least now I know this beast exists in Singapore. I've seen the E39 M5 a couple of times in Singapore as well but I was never truly convinced I was staring at the real thing. I mean the distinctive quad tailpipes were there but I just wasn't convinced. As far as I know, the E39 M5s I've seen so far were just 5 series cars with convincing M5 bodykits.

Teenage whoring...

2108hrs: I came across this article about a pair of sisters here who've got 16,000 'friends' between them. That's like 0.4% of the local population! Note the inverted commas though. These so called 'friends' are just the number of people they have on their friendster accounts. Celeste who's 17 and is the younger of the two remarked that the tally is a good gauge of how popular they are. And then she goes on to gripe about how friendster has a limit of 1000 friends. "Who only has 1000 friends?", she says. Uh huh....it's really just an age old argument between quantity and quality isn't it? I mean how many of those 16,000 do you actually interact with on a semi-regular basis? Assuming you've actually met these people before. Celeste admits that she only knows 400 of those people in real-life. Which is still an inflated figure I believe. I mean she's 17! Teenagers are mostly full of shit. I was too!

I can understand how their accounts swelled up to such enormous figures. I mean with hundreds of photos of themselves in nothing more than pieces of cloth(fabric prices must've skyrocketed in their part of the universe) coupled with videos of themselves whoring it up for the horny male population, it was just a matter of time. I've seen a couple of the videos and it's hard to believe the girl is 17. I mean with all the booty shaking and chest pumping, you'd think you were watching Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas in the 'My Humps' MTV. I don't recall 17 year old girls being this risque when I was 17. I must've been hanging out in the wrong crowds. Then again, I was quite a good catholic boy back then and church was always full of good catholic girls. Well...mostly anyway. I mean dammmmnnnnn.........those dance moves belong next to a pole fitted on a bar in a seedy part of town somewhere. I almost feel guilty for being turned on by the vids.

But honestly, I give them excellent points for their video editing and production. It is really good. I can only hope to be half as creative. I'm left in awe because I haven't dabbled in video editing at all. At least I have a background with Photoshop but when it comes to videos, I'm dumber than a fence post. But still I wonder what their parents might think if they find out their two little girls are whoring themselves internationally(They bring a whole new meaning to 'beyond borders'). And if they already know, I wonder what sorta parents would let their daughters be like this. Especially the Dad. I'll probably have a fit if I ever found out my little girl was whoring herself like that. Soon as I recover I'll have her packing and outta the house. Don't think I can ever accept my little girl turning into a whore.

I admit the Triple H(Healthy, Happy, Horny) adoelescent male side of me likes this kinda racy girls. They're probably tons of fun to go clubbing with. But the 'one day I might be someone's Daddy' side of me isn't laughing.

See for yourselves...

the moves are smokin'

Now do you know what I mean?

Just let me die now....

2354hrs: Ok...this is the 2nd week with the aircon dead. Little wonder then that I'm still awake at this time on a weekday night. Yes, I've gotta work tomorrow. But I can't get to sleep. It's too fucking hot!The aircon chose to go to heaven(I'd like to think it went to hell) during hottest part of the year. I mean the air is dead still. I'm always sticky and hot every night. I wake up sticky and hot every morning for the past week. And I can't even sleep well at night. I met up with Janan on Saturday and he asked if I wasn't getting enough sleep. I asked him how he could tell. He said my eyes were puffy. I didn't realise it but they are. I should've known since I'm falling asleep everywhere. In the office, on the MRT home. I mean I was so tired I slept through the entire trip home on the train today and missed my stop. I was really zoned out. I haven't been this tired in a long time and this is pure mental torture. The only good thing to come out of all this is that I'm getting a new aircon system next Monday. But it's still 7 fucking days away! I'm still gonna be sleepless for the rest of the fucking week. I'm still gonna be miserable for another 144 hours! I wish I could run to Iceland now and join my friend there in her apartment where it's nice and cold. That's precisely the reason why I've got a friend in Iceland. So I can visit her one day and freeze my ass off for once in my life and not have it sweating in the tropical heat. I'm sick of the humidity in Singapore. I swear I'm gonna move to a temperate country the moment I get a chance. Having tropical weather 365 days a year is no way to live. It's INSANE! My room temp now is 31.4°C and humidity is 74%! IT'S CRAZY! And I'm going crazy along with it all.

I need my aircon....I promise to hug and kiss it every night before I sleep once I get it. Even if it means climbing up to the ceiling just to reach it.

My Lambo & it's Baby...

0950hrs: After being inspired by my success with the last few pics, I decided to do a proper photoshoot with my Lamborghini Countach LP 5000S. And I have to say the pic didn't turn out too bad. I'm pretty happy with the way things turned out.

The camera did give a few problems though. Firstly it spoiled a couple of pontentially good shots by not being able to choose the focusing point. Another thing is that there're some problems with it's CCD's auto white balance. The pics all came out with a blueish hue which indicates the camera employed the wrong white balance for the pic. Guess I can't complain too much huh? It is an old banged up(I landed on it once) second hand camera after all. I wish I could afford the Canon Powershot A640 though. It'll promise even better pics!
