Cool pic...

2207hrs: Just found this on the net... So cool!

A Tornado fighter bomber pulls up, while moving at high speed, causing a stall (a transient high-speed stall). The drop in air pressure around the wings causes the moisture in the air to condense and, in effect, form instant clouds. Jet fighters breaking the sound barrier, particularly when over water, often cause the same effect. In the case of the Tornado, the condition is enhanced by the swing wings automatically moving to adjust for the stall condition.

Dreams....they can get so weird

0034hrs: I had a long and very very weird dream last night. Forgive me if the description seems short but my memory of the dream is a little sketchy. I dreamt that I was living in a hostel. And while I was there, a girl living below me caught my fancy. Everytime we met I'll engage her in small talk and over time we grew closer. But one day I realise she already has a boyfriend and he turns out to be an Army Officer with the rank of Captain. What's worse, he's in his forties! And somehow I woke up after that and it was morning(more like noon).

Here's the funny part. The girl in my dream resembled a girl I knew from my childhood days. And the last time I saw her was at least 12 years ago. I didn't even remember what she looked like until the dream. But I remember her now and the very last image I have of her, she was crying while getting off the schoolbus. My friend and I had said some stupid childish things that made her cry and now when I think about it, I do feel very sorry for hurting her. I think her name was(I'm really just taking a stab in the dark) Hui Ting. Though I know for sure which school she was from. It was CHIJ Toa Payoh Primary. I'm pretty confident about that. Oh dear, I really do feel bad about making her cry. Maybe if I get to see her again tonight in my dreams, I'll apologise profusely. It's funny how something you thought you've forgotten long ago pops up like that. I haven't thought about this girl in 12 YEARS! And she pops up in my conciousness like that. I guess the brain does hold more than we can remember.

The second funny part was that the Army Officer that was her boyfriend in the dream reminded me of my current Commanding Officer in camp. And my CO is holding the rank of Captain. But well in real life he isn't a very nice person and I don't think he was nice in the dream too. His character gives me the impression of a weasel.

I'm just writing my dream down cause my dreams have a habit of coming to life. I've had instances where I'm sitting in an enviroment I've never been before and it suddenly occurs to me that I've seen this place in one of my dreams from long ago. It's extremely weird to me. And I can't explain it but it's happened quite a few times now.

Still weirded out at 0056hrs

I just want to share a joke I found on one of my favourite websites,
Aircraft Resource Center http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com .

The Old Virgin

In a tiny village on the Irish coast lived an old lady, a virgin and very proud of it. Sensing that her final days were rapidly approaching, and desiring to make sure everything was in proper order when she dies, she went to the town's undertaker (who also happened to be the local postal clerk) to make the proper "final" arrangements.

As a last wish, she informed the undertaker that she wanted the following inscription engraved on her tombstone: "BORN A VIRGIN, LIVED AS A VIRGIN, DIED A VIRGIN"

Not long after, the old maid died peacefully. A few days after the funeral, as the undertaker/postal clerk went to prepare the tombstone that the lady had requested, it became quite apparent that the tombstone that she had selected was much too small for the wording that she had chosen. He thought long and hard about how he could fulfill the old maid's final request, considering the very limited space available on the small piece of stone. For days, he agonized over the dilemma. But finally his experience as a postal worker allowed him to come up with what he thought was the appropriate solution to the problem.

The virgin's tombstone was finally completed and duly engraved, and it read as follows: "RETURNED UNOPENED"

Rock on!

2141hrs: Been home all Saturday. Came back this morning from duty and slept till 2 pm. Was too stoned to go out by the time I woke. But I didn't have anywhere important to go anyway. And I'd hate to squeeze with the crowds in Orchard. Started listening to some Bon Jovi songs for no reason at all but one of the songs did stir some sentimental thoughts in me. Not that I'm thinking about anyone but I guess it's just a case of too much time, nothing constructive to ponder about and thus the mind wonders.

Someday I'll Be Saturday Night by Bon Jovi

Hey man, I'm alive
I'm takin' each day a night at a time
I'm feeling like a Monday, but someday I'll be Saturday night

Hey, my name is Jim, where did I go wrong
My life's a bargain basement, all the good shit's gone
I just can't hold a job, where do I belong
Been sleepin' in my car, my dreams moves on

My name is Billy G., my love is bought and sold
I'm only sixteen, I feel a hundred years old
My foster daddy went , Took my innocence away
The street life ain't much better but at least I'm getting paid

Tuesday just might go my way
It can't get worse than yesterday
Thursdays, Fridays ain't been kind
But somehow I'll survive

Hey man, I'm alive I'm takin each day and night at a time
Yeah, I'm down but I know I'll get by
Hey, hey, hey, hey man gotta live my life
Like I aint got nothing
But this roll of the dice
I'm feeling like a monday
But someday I´ll be Saturday night

Now I can't say my name and tell you where I am
I wanna roll myself away, don't know if I can
I wish that I could be in some other time and place
With someone else's soul and someone else's face

Tuesday just might go my way
It can't get worse than yesterday
Thursdays, Fridays ain't been kind
But somehow I'll survive

Hey, man I'm alive
I'm taking each day a night at a time
Yeah, I'm down but I know I'll get by
Hey, hey, hey, hey man I got to live my life
I'm gonna pick up all the pieces and what's left of my pride
I'm feeling like a Monday but, someday I'll be Saturday night

Saturday night
Here we go
Someday I'll be Saturday night
I'll be back on my feet, I'll be doing alright
It may not be tomorrow, baby thats ok
I ain't going down, gonna find a way

Hey, hey, hey man
I'm alive, I'm taking each day and night at a time
Yeah, I'm down, but I know I'll get by

Hey, hey, hey, hey man I'm gonna live my life
Like I ain't got nothing but this roll of the dice
I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night

I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night
Saturday night ... all right
All right ... all right
Saturday night

I'll Be There For You by Bon Jovi(The song that stirred some sentimental thoughts)

I guess this time you're really leaving,
I heard your suitcase say goodbye.
And as my broken heart lies bleeding,
they say true love is suicide.

You say you've cried a thousand rivers,
and now you're swimming for the shore.
You left me drowning in my tears,
and you won't save me anymore.
Now I'm praying to God you'll give me one more chance, girl.

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you.
When you breathe I want to be the air for you.
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you,
Words can't say what love can do.
I'll be there for you

I know you know we've had some good times,
Now they have their own hiding place.
I can promise you tomorrow,
But I can't buy back yesterday.

And baby you know my hands are dirty,
But I wanted to be your Valentine,
I'll be the water when you get thirsty, baby
When you get drunk, I'll be the wine

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you.
When you breathe I want to be the air for you.
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you,
Words can't say what love can do.
I'll be there for you

And I wasn't there when you were happy,
I wasn't there when you were down.
I didn't mean to miss your birthday, baby
I wish I'd seen you blow those candles out

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you.
When you breathe I want to be the air for you.
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you,
Words can't say what love can do.
I'll be there for...

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you.
When you breathe I want to be the air for you.
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you,
Words can't say what love can do.
I'll be there for you

Never Say Goodbye by Bon Jovi

As I sit in this smokey room
The night about to end
I pass my time with strangers
But this bottle´s my only friend
Remember when we used to park
On Butler Street out in the dark
Remember when we lost the keys
And you lost more than that in my back seat baby
Remember how we used to talk
About busting out - we´d break their hearts
Together - forever

Never say goodbye, never say goodbye
You and me and my old friends
Hoping it would never end
Say goodbye, never say goodbye
Holdin' on - we got to try
Holdin' on to never say goodbye

Remember days of skipping school
Racing cars and being cool
With a six pack and the radio
We didn't need no place to go
Remember at the prom that night
You and me we had a fight
But the band they played our favorite song
And I held you in my arms so strong
We danced so close
We danced so slow
And I swore I'd never let you go
Together - forever

Never say goodbye, never say goodbye
You and me and my old friends
Hoping it would never end
Say goodbye, never say goodbye
Holdin' on - we got to try
Holdin' on to never say goodbye

I guess you'd say we used to talk
About busting out
We'd break their hearts
Together - forever

Never say goodbye, never say goodbye
You and me and my old friends
Hoping it would never end
Say goodbye, never say goodbye
Holdin' on - we got to try
Holdin' on to never say goodbye

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Apple iPod Photo 60GB along with it's Pocket Amp 2 Amplifier. Yes it's my 5th iPod in total while most have only owned one in their lives and some, none at all. I look forward to listening to all my favourite tunes on my way to camp every morning with my Shure E2Cs plugged snugly in my ears. My E2Cs haven't been utillised since the demise of the previous iPod and I've been missing it. Yes, I'll be holding an iPod Photo 60GB in my hand within a week. I can't wait!

Still sentimental at 2200hrs

Something funny...

1958hrs: Just sharing some funny stuff...it's been so long since my last entry that I don't know what to write.

Guys are so sentimental

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wiped a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee. "What's the matter, dear?", she whispers as she steps into the room, "Why are you down here at this time of night?". The husband looks up from his coffee, "Do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 16?" he asks solemnly. The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring sensitive. "Yes, I do" she replies. The husband paused. The words were not coming easily. "Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?" "Yes, I remember" said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him. The husband continued. "Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?""I remember that too" she replied softly. He wiped another tear from his cheek and said...... "I would have gotten out today."

Body Mass Index

2020hrs: Went on one of my rare supermarket trips today to 'restock' my supply of instant noodles and biscuits in camp. The original plan was just to get those 2 items but when the items were totaled up, I went wide-eyed.. Here's what I got...

  1. Sara-Lee All Purpose Pound Cake(Why do they call it 'All Purpose' anyway?)
  2. Vanetta Vanilla Ice-Cream
  3. 1L Magnolia HL Milk
  4. 1L Rocky Road Ice-Cream
  5. Frosties Cornflakes(The stuff for champions! And helps you to grow grow GROW)
  6. 2x Nissin Cup Noodles
  7. 2x Mi-Goreng Instant Noodles
  8. Butter Cream biscuits
  9. Chocolate Chip biscuits
  10. Maltsers Chocolate
  11. Canned Tuna
  12. Gatsby Hair Wax(non-edible *duh*)

Total Cost: SGD$38.00

And I wonder how I put on so much weight and grew an enormous gut since I enlisted. *sigh*

My current height and weight is 1.78m and 65kg. I've put on approximately 5 - 7kgs of FATs since I enlisted. I'm hoping to push my weight to 70kgs with muscle mass and reduce fat at the same time. And bring my abs back to it's former glory and shrink my waist from 34 Inches to it's original 30.5 inches. But I guess the first step is to start burning up all that energy I get from eating so much and slowly burn away all the fats. My target is to accomplish the above by X'mas 2005. Wish me luck!
